　このたび、科学技術振興機構（ JST ）の電子アーカイブ対象誌選定委員会によって、「Mathematical journal of Ibaraki University」が電子アーカイブ化を実施すべき対象誌に選定されました。 茨城大学理学部数学教室（以下「本会」という）は，独立行政法人科学技術振興機構の支援を受けて，本会論文誌「Mathematical journal of Ibaraki University」およびその前身，「Bulletin of the Faculty of Science, Ibaraki University, Series A. Mathematics」に掲載された論文記事を創刊号（ 1968 年）に遡って電子化し， JST で運用している電子アーカイブサイト（ Journal ＠rchive ）にて一般公開することを計画致しております。

　本会論文誌の電子アーカイブ化，公開に関する JST との契約条件として，創刊号からの掲載論文の著作権行使（全文電子公開）の同意を論文著者から得る必要があります。 2007 年（第 39 巻）以降に発行された「Mathematical journal of Ibaraki University」に掲載された論文の著作権については個別に著作権の委譲をお願いしておりますが、電子アーカイブ化を行うにあたっては上記期日以前に発行された論文についても，著作権が著者から本会へ譲渡されているか，著作権の行使について著者から許諾を得ていることが必要となります。本来であれば、すべての著者（又はその相続人）の方から個別に、論文の電子アーカイブ化について許諾をお願いしたいと存じますが、その所在が必ずしも明らかではないという事情を鑑みますと現実的ではありません。そこで、著作権譲渡の手続きが不明瞭であった時期に公表された論文の著作権につきまして、ここで一括して譲渡・許諾をお願いしたいと存じます。

　なお，本件についてご承認いただけないとのお申し出があった論文記事については，アーカイブ・公開の対象とはいたしません。ご承認いただけない著作権者または相続権をお持ちの遺族の方は， 2009年 （平成 21年 ） 2月28 日　までに，その旨を茨城大学理学部数学教室宛にご連絡下さい。お申し出のなかった論文記事につきましては，ご承認いただいたものとして電子アーカイブの作業を進めさせていただきます。お申し出期限後に該当者からのお申し出があれば，当該論文の公開はそれ以降の適当な時期をもって中止します。  


　本電子アーカイブ化事業は研究の便宜を図るのみならず学術的にも大変意義深い事業でございます。著者の皆様のご理解とご協力をお願い申し上げます 。

With the cooperation of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Ibaraki University (DMFSIU) is promoting to digitally archive the “ Mathematical journal of Ibaraki University ” and “ Bulletin of the Faculty of Science, Ibaraki University, Series A. Mathematics ”since the first issue in 1968 . This archive includes all previously published materials and will be made freely accessible to public via internet without charge or restriction. In moving forward with this project, DMFSIU needs to obtain approvals from copyright holders.

As to the publication prior to 2006, there was no explicit copyright statement and officially, it is necessary to obtain copyright transfer agreement from all authors for archiving their papers. However, obtaining such consent is almost impossible for all practical purposes.


We therefore ask all authors of the papers published prior to 2006 for the transfer of copyright of their works to the DMFSIU. Upon request for exclusion from archiving, the referred paper(s) will be withheld from the archive. Should you have any inquiries or comments regarding this matter, please contact the DMFSIU secretariat till the end of Febrauary 2009. If there is no serious objection by then, it will be understood that the copyright to the papers published prior to 2006 is also assigned to the DMFSIU and that those papers will become subject to its electric archive.


Please note that the copyright transfer DMFSIU is requesting is for the sole purpose of making above articles electronically available to the public. Thus, authors may use the subject materials without permission for their own research purposes. Your understanding and cooperation on this matter will be highly appreciated.
